Who are the Uyghurs

There are about 12 million Uyghurs, mostly Muslim, living in Xinjiang. North West China

The Uyghurs speak their own language, They make up less than half of the Xinjiang population.

Recent years we have seen a mass migration of Han Chinese (a Chinese ethnic majority) into Xinjiang, ordered by the state to weaken the minority population there.

China has started banning religious practices in the region, as well as destroying mosques and tombs.

What is happening to the Uyghurs

Their is a genocide happening in China, only a handful of countries have acknowledged which are the US, Netherlands, Canada, this seems absolutely insane to me that only 3 countries out of the whole world (196 countries) have spoken out about a literal Genocide this includes Muslim countries. China are openly killing women men and children of the Muslim race yet only 3! let me repeat myself only THREE countries have acknowledged this Genocide against Uyghur Muslims. The Uyghur women are being forcefully sterilized so they don't produce more Muslims that will eventually meet the same the fate their father or mother met which is years of abuse and torture which will eventually lead to their sad and unjust death.

What can you do to help the Uyghurs

Raise awareness about what China are doing is wrong by either the use of social media or by campaigning outside the Chinese embassy

We must take action! Thousands of innocent lives are being lost just because they are not the same religion as the majority

We must riot and take to the streets like we did for Ukraine this too is a humanitarian crisis innocent lives are being lost and no one is taking action.

The World Uyghur Congress works with the United Nations and other NGOs to raise issues that effect Uyghurs.

Write to your local MP and political representatives

We should Inform them about what’s going on and demand that they bring this issue to the attention of the government. Amnesty international have a sample letter on this subject that you have to just copy and send it signed with your name even if you're busy this wont take long at all.
